"The Books I Always Read

Reading books is very useful to get the different kinds of knowledge. Unfortunately, because of culture and habit of people in our country, our people do not like to read. For myself, I like reading so much since I was thirteen years old. However, because of the day I was studying in public school was so poor, I was educated at countryside, so I did not have book to read any more. Because I love reading, every book that I finished to read, I always save and keep them on my selves. According to my favorite to read books, I classify the books I read in to four kinds.

The first kind of books that I always read is folktale book. Every two days, I read three to four folktales. For liking to read old folktale, I always buy it, or borrow at library every week. Whenever I read them. I can get many knowledge. For example, history of a place (mountain, river, lake, volcanos) and know a lot about people living in the past. Beside this, folktale stories are funny and full of educated. In Cambodia, Traditional Khmer Tale is very popular. We can find all old folktale in its line. Among twenty parts, I have finished eight parts.

The second kind of books that I always read is novel book. I do not read only the new generation novel books, but I also read the old previous. While I am reading, my feeling always flows in those stories. Novel books can make me know about the life story, love, life struggling of characters in those books. Moreover, they give me knowledge about how to live the society and how to develop my life. For example, novel titles Kolab Pailing (Rose of Pailin written by….) Reading book really makes me feel that it is better than watching TV.

The next kind of the books that I always read is science book. I usually read them the most of my time. To know about science, I have chosen to read environmental books, which I can know about climate change, air pollution and acid rain etc. In addition, I also have chosen the books that are written about technology. I can get a lot of know everything such as how to use computer, astronaut and medical using from them.

The last kind of books that I always read is comedy book. What I like to read the most is comedy when I feel so boring and tired. I also buy comedy books every the end of month. Besides reading in Khmer, I also read it in English. When having break time, I always to the library, which locates near my class, for reading comedy. For buying it, I buy it at bookstore or market.

To conclude, those kind of books, as I describe above all, I really like to read and read them every day. Folktale, novel, science and comedy books help me many things. Not only giving me many different good knowledge and improve my critical thinking, but they also make me feel not lonely.
