Why do we need Public Space?

The country can be noted as the civilized country as long its management is very good. For example, the city is very clean, not traffic jam and high accident. This country always is kept more spaces that are public. To know about why we need public space, let me tell you what public space is first. Public space is social area that is accessible to people such as road, museum, walk side, beach, natural area…tec. All these are thought as the public space because they are no rentable even the are used by general people. Alternatively, we also can say that it is the social area. It concerns to many things, so we need it indeed for four reasons. Such as: reducing the traffic jam, make good environment in the city and easy to create national events.

The first reason that we need public space is because it can reduce traffic jam. When there are enough space the city, traffic is not going to be a big problem for the public because it provides enough space and easy to make the safe transportation. Every can vehicles be driven by neat. Moreover, it can reduce traffic accident. Because the city is full of free space, it will decrease people dying of traffic. For example, in the Phnom Penh City of Cambodia, there aren't enough parking space for drivers, so we can see many vehicle are parked along the street every time. In addition, it causes traffic jam and accident every day. In addition, we cannot walk along the streets, for there are not walk-side for pedestrians. A foreigners whom I used to talk to, told me that he did like to live in the because of not enough.

The second reason that we need public space is because it also make good environment in the city. When there are enough social area, we can make garden, parks and plant trees in it. If there are this in the city, it can becomes green city, and can sit and talk to each other; and then they making entertainment on it. When we have space in the city, we can build the toilet for visitor using in public. That make people live with hygiene and good health. For example, according to Phnom Penh Post, it was written about the lacking of public space in Cambodia. The government use the public space by focusing on the service of ATM service only. He does not build enough public toilet. Truly, if we were in Phnom Penh city, we need to travel two or three kilometers to find the public toilet. For social area can make good atmosphere, we need it very much.

The last reason that we need public space is because we can create the national events. In our country, there many national ceremony and festival. They are Indecent Day, King's Birthday, Festival water etc. Every year, when people celebrate ceremony, jointer cannot find the trash bin to put their rabies. The group of them also cannot find the bench for sitting. Social area is not only useful for national events, but it is also very advantageous for making exhibition and fund fair. Sometimes, we can use it as a place to show our homemade products or international product to the people. Art, such as concert, traditional dance can be taken on the public space, so that people can joint without paying.

To sum up, public or social area is much needed for us. We can develop our country by using it. It provides reducing traffic jam and accident, it can make good environment in the capital city, and it also allow us to make nation events by easily. A country has good view and be neat, as long as, its social areas are enough in it. For my idea, I think that government should keep public space in the city. Moreover, he should also make good planes before developing the country.
